Hello! I bought this 90s Raleigh technium from the thrift store for $40 in great working condition and all the original parts. Since, I've thrown some huge riser motobars and some cruiser tires on that Jawn. It's a great commuter bike but I would like to update the drivetrain to something more modern looking. I was wondering if I'd be able to somehow convert it to a 11×1 as I do live in an area with huge hills (Utah) Anyone have experience with this? From a quick google search I found one method called cold setting.

asks about gearing but doesn’t post a drive side picture, noob 😛
but yeah you basically stretch the rear triangle open to accept an 135mm ‘old’ hub and then realign the drop outs and derailleur hanger. sometimes you can squeeze one by just stretching it open when fitting the wheel no cold set required.
can damage paint, maybe the frame if you’re too heavy handed doing it.
an option to consider is a 2x with a bigger spread of ring sizes, leave the rear the same. then you’re 1x in the big ring most of the time and just drop into the small cog for big hills.
p.s. sweet ride
What is the brand for both the stem and handlebars?
mmm so pretty
