I had been riding for years on a Cannondale CAAD 12 but never very seriously, only on a local MUT and maxing out at 30 miles at a time.

Last year I decided to get serious and the local Trek store had used 2020 Domane SLR6 that was the shop bike. It had serious use on it but was offered at a good discount. I loved that bike and it helped me get seriously into riding, but was always daydreaming about the Madone.

Earlier this year I found a deal on a lightly used 2024 Gen 7 and couldn’t pass on it.

The Domane is a Cadillac, super comfortable at the cost of weight. The Madone is a Ferrari, all the fancy technology and a rocket.
