I’d probably pull the trigger on that, asssuming everything checks out. try to negotiate for $150, but don’t walk if they need full price and it all checks out cleanly/without major damage.

How much tinkering can you do? It looks like this is going to need some extra bits and elbow grease, but that’s likely why you’re looking at a sub 200$ price. You’re getting a few good accessories at that as well looks like

As for the bike itself, I think most of us have toy acquisition syndrome and the idea of stuff breaking down all that easily is (mostly) myth. As long as the basic bike was at least decent, you’re very unlikely to wear it out with some sort of knowledge of maintenance. There’s a Walmart genesis bike in my town that has been ridden every day by the same guy for the last 5, maybe 6 years? At least several thousand miles a year between all the bars and it’s still mostly Walmart components; just a committed meth using owner.

  2. This looks like a small frame more so than a medium. For 180 it is hard to go wrong. With some air in the tires and the chain correctly routed the bike could easily go in the 400+ range in my area.

  3. That doesn’t look like a medium. I think it’s a small. The Domane isn’t a gravel bike, it’s endurance road. So slightly relaxed geometry compared to a race bike. It won’t have clearance for big tires, especially with traditional dual pivot brake calipers.

This bike hasn’t been loved, and the person couldn’t even bother to make it look half decent for the photo. But it seems to be priced appropriately. Looks like a 105 component group. I see a receipt still on the handlebar, maybe from the the most recent tune up?
