Rebuilding my 2010 Novara Safari and looking to replace the bottom bracket. It originally came with a Truvativ Giga X Pipe. Looking for opinions on the best BB for the money. Will be doing g a fair amount of long gravel touring.
Shimano. Otherwise, Phil Wood if you want a bottom bracket that is equal in value to the rest of your bike.

Are you keeping the crank?
Honestly, if you got 15 years out of the last BB, buy another of those.

i personally prefer external bearing bbs though those are not usually the most popular choice for touring. i like shimano deore double and triple cranks for touring, haven’t destroyed a BB yet.
i recently bought almost the same bike, it might be the 2008 version. post the build when you’re done.
