So I'm just a beginner who wants to buy second hand. The seller says it's Marlin 7 2023. Now obviously I can see that it's written "7", but I saw marlin 7 where the 7 is painted in white. Can you tell me the differnce? Is it really 2023? Any why is it maxxis? I saw other tires in different pictures of a new marlin 7 in the store. And does it look like M size? I need M and he says it's M.

I would say get the serial number and go to your local Trek dealer. They can look up if it’s what the seller says it is. To me, it looks right but I would just get it checked first.
The maxxis you worry about could / would probably be better in every way to the stock maxxis tires…

Looks like you have guidance on finding the serial number so that’s good. That color scheme does match one of the colors offered on the 2023 version too. Size is probably on a ticket here. Out of curiosity, what are they asking for price?
