This bike is up for sale for $2500, but it is a decent drive for me to go pick it up. With the decent carbon wheels and handlebars, I am pretty shocked that it is only $2500, but maybe I am missing something? Thanks for your help!
$2500 is a good deal. A new mechanical Allez Sprint is $3K and doesn’t have electronic shifting, carbon aero wheels, carbon handlebar. I personally hate that colorway. It reminds me of popcorn in the worse way possible, which I love as a snack but on a sleek race bike? No
Where I pause is, does this bike fit you frame size, cranks, stem, and bars? The ad doesn’t mention any sizing besides the frame.
Two, how many miles are on the bike? When was the last serviced? What is the wear on the pads, rotors, chain and cassette? Replacing the disposables alone would kill the deal for me
Three, do you really want 1X? Not saying it can’t work out, but again there is no mention of the chainring size or cassette size, so there is no way to know the gear range. At the bare min you want a 48t chainring with a 10-36t cassette for 1X road and some would argue you should run a larger cassette, but if that RD is not XPLR you are stuck at 36t max
Also, what that sticker on the seat post? First thing that comes to mind it’s hiding something cosmetic or maybe even worse the seat post is slipping and they put some type of tape on it to prevent slipping and if that is the case I would say the bike is an avoid.
