I Got The Ferry To Beaulieu Biker’s Day!

In this video I take a rare trip on the Isle of Wight ferry to the mainland, for a day out at the Beaulieu Bikers Day in the beautiful New Forest in Hampshire. My first time riding my Bobber on the mainland, so I got up early so I could check out some beauty spots in the New Forest before making my way to Beaulieu for the bike show! I visited the National Motor Museum, checked out all the bikes on show, and filmed as much as I could, including bikes leaving the show! Can you spot yourself or your bike? [Music] hey hey YouTube how are we doing i am whispering because it is just gone 5:30 in the morning and I’ve got an exciting day ahead today i’m taking my bobber on the ferry and we’re going over to a beauty biker day but first I need to get out of here without waking the neighbors up so I’m going to roll down the hill before starting got to look after those neighbors i know them know them don’t know any of this lot so let’s fire the old girl up [Music] savage [Music] sorry right let’s head to Yarmmouth catch this ferry [Music] this is not a neighbor friendly bike is it [Music] right got a lovely little trip about 25 minute ride to Yarmouth with no traffic it’s going to be an absolute scorcher today um up to about 27° or something I saw um with also a chance of thundery showers later so that will be fun if I get caught in all that cuz I don’t have any wet weather gear um so anyway let’s head to Yarmouth as I say lovely day nice little ride there so I’m just going to get on with it on a white festival this weekend so um yeah the uh probably the island is as busy as it gets this weekend so it’s nice to get away from it all cuz if you’re not at the festival it’s a pain in the backside worth noting this is definitely going to be the most uh comfortable time of the day to ride because uh it just gets so hot and uh obviously wearing all this gear it is sweltering so I have got some shorts and t-shirt with me to change into uh when I get to biker day uh so I shall not be sweltering all day there as well sting was here last night and Faithless apparently i did go to the festival once not really my cup of tea to be honest with you prefer dance music uh and when I went actually Chase and Stius were there in the big top and you could not get anywhere near it so I think uh they need to cater for uh electronic music a bit more but did see Kings of Leon and uh Plan B was pretty good as well and uh pulp as well I think was this is going back obviously but yeah it’s good fun but I couldn’t do it all the time Well I’m here at the ferry the check-in booth is not open so uh not sure what I’m going to do i’ll go in there and uh get myself checked in let’s do it it’s pretty tasty well literally no one in there so got suppose someone will come around and check my ticket hello mate do you have a motorcycle lane or do you want me here um yeah if you want to go by that white buggy there all right so just go around yeah no sweat all right thanks thank you [Music] heat heat we are loaded heat heat [Music] golden look at these other boys as well nice oh that’s tasty got myself a pretty decent seat right at the front of the boat here y is a lovely place on the island if you’ve not visited beautiful look at that and we’re going just over there in the distance see some white bits that’s other fairies um it’s about 4 miles shouldn’t take too long about 45 minutes so if you’re wondering why I got up so early to come and do this when it doesn’t even open till 10:00 it’s because it is so rare for me to get off the island particularly with my bike this is the first time I take my bobber off of the island um I’ve got places I want to go and do things I want to see uh in the New Forest which I’d rather do before it gets too hot rather than during it’s too hot after the show so I’ve got up early i’m going to do some stuff before we get to be um go and visit some nice little spots on the New Forest and uh I’ll get to be for about 9:30 10:00 and my because it’s biker day basically my Bobart will be part of the display i assume these guys are all going as well uh so we will be on display uh so we get reduced cost entry into beauty and the grounds and stuff so I’m looking forward to that this is Livingington i didn’t know there was a train station there handy for commuters [Music] right let’s get to the first spot [Music] what a lovely place or is this wet is that water i doubt it [Music] so I’m using my satnav here with my GG components mount it’s excellent if you’re wondering what I’m talking about check out my uh previous one of my previous videos heat heat right here’s the first cattle grid of the day wonder how many of those there’ll be my first destination is just up here Satley Pond now there’s a blanket I believe a blanket 40 mph speed limit on um the new in the new forest so uh that will be my speed for today the reason being there’s lots of open roads uh like this and uh free roaming horses and stuff is this gate open yeah let’s go in here and see what’s what well this is Settly Pond here on uh the in the New Forest how lovely i wonder what the uh boys in there with the numbers are i wonder if they do boating or anything in there but it does say no swimming because there’s deep water uh so don’t bother bringing your bikini if you’re coming down here but what a lovely spot you can see there’s cattle grazing there’s loads of horseshoes and stuff i expect a lot of people come and ride their horses here as well i blooming love the New Forest i used to camp in here when I was younger long time ago right next spot okay the next spot is called Long Slade Bottom uh which is probably something quite similar to this so let’s go and check that out and then we got a nice little bit of road to ride after that [Laughter] [Music] what fantastic bits of road feel like going in a straight line right tops it is starting to get sweltering already bang your old cruise control on okay and somewhere along here on the right hand side we should find Long Slade Bottom have a quick look see what that’s what’s going on there couldn’t have picked a nicer day for it haven’t seen a horse yet a New Forest Pony that’s long sleeve view not the one I’m after oh there’s some horses trying not to scare them with my exhaust hello mate this looks like it might be it there we are long slate bottom no overnight parking leave by dusk so they obviously don’t want people in their camper vans chilling overnight down here or perhaps a dogging hot spot [Laughter] well this is Long Slade Bottom what a lovely piece of open field land we got just here and it’s very nice that the horses are just chilling out here by the car park uh unfortunately I did scare these little horses a little bit so my bad uh I’ll make more of a point not to do that anyway I I’m sure lot plenty of these places while I’m going to today um have lots of lovely places if you are willing to walk a little bit but I’m a bit strapped for time and I got a few places to get around and uh well need to keep on moving so I’m going to get out of it and see what is next nice bit of road actually I think okay the next stop is Burley Road which is also otherwise known as 10 bends apparently bends as in corners so uh be interesting to see what that has got to offer [Music] bit of a funny take off that one i think my ass is hanging out my jeans a bit put me off oh it’s lovely in the shade [Laughter] not going to lie hay fever is going to take its toll on me today my eyes are itchy as hell my nose is super itchy as well oh man I don’t often get hay fever but when I do it’s just not very nice anyway got to pay for it haven’t got any choice have I so let’s go trying to find Birdie Road i must have taken a wrong turn in um the trouble with the uh beauty spots on the in the New Forest they don’t have a post code so they just have a post code area so trying to find them is not that easy unless it’s next to a like a a settlement like a village or something like that then it’s a bit easier anyway shut up talking it’s along here somewhere okay by all accounts this is Burley Road so let’s see if there is 10 bends i think that’s one this is two keeping on that speed is this a bend yeah it’s got to be three four five is this still the same one or is this six seven eight pole mine [Music] [Music] this has got to be a long sweeping number 10 surely probably got it completely wrong but is a lovely bit of road to ride shame you can’t go faster but there is wild ponies and stuff so I understand why it’s faulty throughout lovely road definitely more than 10 bends so far of course if uh if you know any spots on the uh in the New Forest that I’ve not visited in this video bearing in mind there’s a few more to come still do leave a comment uh down below and let me know cuz uh this is definitely somewhere I’d come back to it’s lush lots of cyclists why not it’s relatively flat nice place to ride right before long we should be in Brockenhastur well these bends continue oh more bends for C oh perhaps this is it perhaps this is it maybe it starts here start again one two long one oh horses crossing hello they’re in lovely condition well this doesn’t got many bends god knows who named these things [Laughter] this is stunning some horse riders here just loving it right I love a red phone box so I’m going to stop for a photo well here we are we’ve made it through Brockenhurst and the next stop is just the other side of Brockenhurst i think it’s called Black Heath Arboritum and I’m pretty sure I might have said that wrong but basically an arboritum is like a collection of trees or something like that someone will correct me in the comments no doubt so I’m going to check there cuz it might be nice and scenic and that’s what I’m after so let’s go i could quite happily drive uh or ride or even drive whatever uh along these roads all day it’s fantastic 30 so this is called Rhyfield Ornamental Drive and it’s going to be one of the best uh riding and driving roads in the New Forest let’s see it’s nice for me cuz it’s in the shade it’s quarter 9 and it is sweltering certainly a nice bit of road i’d love to explore all of these little places just take ages wouldn’t it minefield House Hotel so I know it’s just past this so I have to keep going rinfield House Hotel oh it’s not in there must be around here [Music] i’m running out of time always the case there’s some magnificent houses here wow cool look at these redwoods cut they got some age to them oh I might have got some hair then right it’s around here somewhere oh I think it could be in there [Music] what a lovely place i think I might have gone past it which will be typical what’s this here [Laughter] brock Hill well this is not where I’m after but I will go down here and do a UI anyway without falling over [Music] right time to look on a map well I accidentally found that spot which was actually really nice actually I got chatting to a local lad who was asking about my bike and um I asked him about the Arbory German and if there’s a car park and stuff and he said not really but there’s a little one opposite uh so I’m going to have a little scoop down there it might be that I can’t get near it so uh pretty sure I saw it in between the trees there it’s around here somewhere [Laughter] it’s got to be somewhere here oh there’s a car park just there [Laughter] these trees are magnificent car park fur ah this is it yeah okay i don’t think I’m going to be able to get anywhere near it with me bike i’ll have a little look in the car park might be some good photo spots well that’s a bust lovely location but uh I’m going to get to the next one which has got a pond i think Whitemore Pond or something like that so uh let’s go and uh check out find out where we are i’m going to have to switch batteries in my uh DJI camera soon cuz I have done quite a lot of filming already this might be a long video sorry about that [Music] well this is White Moore Pond and I don’t see a pond anywhere so uh onto the next one right we are off to the next little spot i don’t remember what it’s called to be honest but I got to turn down here and this looks like it is a Ford so in the winter this would have water coming all the way across this road which would be great fun on someone else’s bike right let’s get to the next little spot this is Brockenhurst it’s probably uh quite very expensive around here [Music] i think this is it [Music] [Laughter] heat heat [Music] [Music] [Music] you guys don’t [Music] Got myself a little convoy going on here and I think I’ve got to turn right down here looks like it right so just somewhere around here [Music] there should be a little turn in for my little car park i’m looking for Tyler Road what I’m looking for there we are that’s it see what we can find down here share the paths always [Music] feels a bit sketchy riding on this kind of surface right we got it it well this looks like a nice enough place but not too exciting so I shall keep going straight to the next which is just a little bit further along this road okay this is called standing hat enclosure i don’t know why they’re all enclosures uh if you know let me know please uh and I expect there’s some lovely walks around here but I’m just going to stop here for a quick photo from me Instagram which will be down below in case you’re wondering what it is um my nose is so itchy anyway let’s get this done and then I need to stop fenning about and get to beauty okay I am done with my sightseeing at least for now who knows what will happen later depends what time I leave beauty i guess I’m on a 6:00 ferry so I need to be there for 5:00 but for now I’m just going to make my way to beauty and uh enjoy a nice day looking at some great bikes so stay tuned has to be said I am absolutely sweltering because I keep stopping but um what a life these horses have just galloping around all day loving it that is the life right definitely need to find a proper road [Music] [Music] [Laughter] [Music] [Music] there we are at beauty and as you can see tons and tons of bikers excellent okay I have now paid it was £10 which gets me entrance to all of the stuff at beauty as well um so that’s a fantastic deal i’m sure you’d agree but uh I cannot pay on my phone without taking my helmet off cuz it does not recognize my face but I am done now so let’s get going [Music] [Music] looks like this is my spot lovely jobly right let’s turn this thing off well I have now made it into the grounds of beauty and there’s a lot of bikes here um I’ve just been to the helmet park to get rid of my helmet and luckily they also took my jacket and my jeans i got a pair of shorts on underneath which are now soaking wet with sweat which is not very nice the queue is pretty long and it is just absolutely sweltering so I’m pleased to find a little picnic bench just there uh in the shade so I’m going to grab a drink i literally haven’t had a drink all day um cuz I knew I’d be on the road no air toilet for a bit so uh I’m going to enjoy a nice can here and then go and check out some bikes and I also intend to go and check out Buy and all that it’s got to offer as well probably do that before the bikes to be honest and then I can do that once all the bikes are turned up because they are still rolling in just a little taste of things to come i need to go and find a toilet cuz I need a weed big time uh and also need to grab some proper food i’ve just had a packet of crisps that will not do see a burger van that’s more my style right let’s go and check it out this is a real look I’ve got going on today i don’t care sweltering i got to have me shorts on and me riding boots and I had I had to go shopping for this yesterday in Newport it is I festival weekend so it’s really hard to get hold of a big hat uh but I can’t have a sunburn on my big bald head uh so uh anyway got this one it’s $4.99 from uh Mountain Warehouse excellent anyway whilst all the bikes are still piling in I am going to go and have a look around the National Motor Museum which is just here behind me and also there’s a car thing called We had one of those must be like old cars from the 80s and 90s and stuff for you to go and have a look around and I believe there is some old cars out of TV programs and stuff here as well so I’m going to chit around and have a quick look at that and show you a few bits and then I’ll show you all the bikes can’t wait check out these old bikes this one here is a matchless two and a half horsepower if you can believe that check out this Triumph Thunderbird that is from 1949 that is awesome that is a brilliant color as well love that blue and this old Lambr model B I think yeah that’s what it says model B from 1948 wowers and also a bit of me nice air cooled Volkswagen oval window Beetle from 1953 [Music] [Music] well it has to be said the motor museum here is massive i’ve only got round a small selection of it so far but in true fashion I’ve had to sit down on the bench because my back is absolutely killing me for a change right I’ve had a good look around the National Motor i’m bound to have missed loads of stuff as is often the case um but uh yeah shortly I’ll be going to check out all of the bikes most people should have turned up by now still see people coming in actually but for now I’m going to go and check out some of the old cars which you probably might have had uh you mo probably wouldn’t have had most of the cars inside there [Music] it’s it’s more of a get together than a simply for the event tomorrow rude not to and 2:30 later today we’ll be starting at two of the museum’s bikes out in the arena the MV 2006 and the 1928 brick work which was driven by Graham Walker in the 1928 Olsson Grand Prix our next event will be taking place tomorrow and that will be 4 a day dedicated to caring the iconic 30 so expect to see the likes of hot hatches from Fiestas to Pocuses as well as iconic names such as the Capri Mustang Sierra well I’ve had a good look around the motor museum i’ve also had a cup of cappuccino now so I feel much better and I am going to now make an attempt to get around don’t know if you’ve seen this stuff here but that looks remarkably like uh something might be occurring in the wake of precipitation so what I need to do is get round and get as many of these bikes in as I can before uh there’s a mass exodus if it does start raining um I’ve got nowhere to go of course my furry is booked for 6:00 so I’ll probably just have to stay here if it does wang it down and if it does rain it’s likely to be thundery so uh that will be exciting let’s get these bikes i’m not going to get around all of them there is absolutely billions of bikes but I will get as many as I can let’s go uh-huh thank you no think it’s raining pretty hard but what happens sometimes when it’s this hot it just evaporates before it gets to the ground but some of it is and uh well uh don’t really want that to happen but it is what it is and it could make for a fun afternoon got to get back to the island wish me luck be fine stop being dramatic okay so whilst I’m here might as well take in the wonderful gardens here at uh Beauty they are lovely aren’t they i like a bit of gardening myself got a lot of ro too many roses though now this is pretty cool topy or topiary whatever you want to say but there’s some skill in that and I think that is the Mad Hatters tea party that is wisteria by the looks of things and when that comes out with its little purple flowers that will look magnificent sorry this is turning into garden as well now statue of a couple of people being sick i’ve had many nights out like that if you’re watching Loki how about this for a tree tunnel full on wisteria oh I bet it’s nice in here when it’s hot outside well it is hot outside it’s really muggy today friendly photo going on up there is official it is starting to wang it down now so hopefully it’ll just pass and it’ll be nice and dry for my ride home but if not it’ll be an adventure in it just a wet one oh well at least my hat is waterproof these magnificent flowers are called alstro elmia or something like that and I think they’re brilliant they don’t look real i’ve got loads of these in my garden uh and my wife does not like them there are loads of sculptures dotted around the place and some of them are magnificent there’s a lot of skill goes into something like that i want that for my garden whilst it’s raining I might as well go into palace house or palace something palace house i think that’s what Montagu’s house was called here at beauty so I’m going to go and check that out while it’s raining got time to kill look at this wind sculpture it’s awesome it is in a fantastic location this motorbike show i’m not going to go inside the house i’m going to come back with a family at some stage cuz I’m sure my wife would enjoy that just love interactive things in the garden that interact with the wind that’s pretty cool another one over here wow look at this it’s like a funf fair ride come on wind where are Where you at as soon as I walk over here here we go yeah that’s wicked i love stuff like that bet something like that is not cheap so I’ll make do with one from the local garden center this place is awesome how have I never been here before i used to live in Hempshire as well okay here is one for the nerds there is a mega smell of petri core in the air at the moment if you know what that is leave a comment down below and you get 10 points if you’re right what a cool building it’s called the Domus or Domus what a cool cool place they certainly do not build them like that anymore the front obviously looks way better than the uh side of it which is derelictked just ruins but what cool look how thick the walls are i’m sorry if this is boring and not so motorcycle related but it’s very rare that I get a day off on my own to the mainland and I’m making the most of it and I like this kind of stuff i like old stuff wow look at that giant magnolia cannot believe how many people are still kicking around after that rain shower normally when things like that happen everyone splits but a lot of sitting around and stuff today could just basically cuz I had to wait around until I can go to my ferry i’m still way too early but I am going for a little jolly and see some of the sights of the new forest that I missed earlier so yeah I might show you some stuff if it’s exciting but uh maybe not who knows this video has been long enough already I think but people have asked for longer videos some have asked for shorter ones as well so uh oh well this car’s well slow [Music] literally breaks constantly for no reason well I went for a little jolly around the New Forest after coming out of um Buy and it’s just so sweltering i’m going to be the first one to admit I don’t do well when it’s hot and uh just with all this gear on not a pleasant experience but I did stop off at a local village shop uh and the ladies in there are loving my bike and also they had some ice cold water as well so I’m down about 3 gallons i’m just waiting to check in onto my boat and I’ve had to find some shade just to chill out i’m so hot my core temperature has got to be about 2 billion degrees centigrade anyway I’m just waiting to get onto the boat in a sec well when I say get on it check in and then sit in the sun for an hour waiting till the till they load us no doubt but uh I’m just going to try and find some shade go have a right Karen aren’t I anyway that is it um really I hope you’ve
