Got this for $10. Schwinn what?

My first real bike in like 7 years. I am new to this world but I am already so excited with the potential of this thing. Previous owner said he got it between 1974-1979. Apparently all original besides the tape and the seat. Just took a brass brush to a lot of the rusty spots and its looking much better, far far from perfect though. Id like to spend not a lot of money and make it light and very practical, while still making it beautiful, and am not focused on making it just like factory. My plans already are cleaning it all the way up, tuning derailleurs, replacing wrap and new tires. What are your reccomendations as to where to go from here?
