I want to switch from my cheap hybrid bike to a road bike since it has been giving me too much mental stability when I rode it. Have zero knowledge about bike and bike parts but I want to look for a bike that can be rode fine and doesn't make squeaky noise.
I ride about 80-100km per week and most of the time is to commute. I sometimes do long ride but because of the bike, I'm afraid it will break down in the middle of the trip. So I'm looking for a bike can accommodate that and wondering if this bike worth the price and what about the quality? Thank you in advance!

It’s a 21 yo bike, a couple hundred max.
There’s not a single argument that can be made to justify a $500 price tag on this bike. Unless it comes with a $400 instant rebate.
That’s probably the cost when it was new. The component package on it was the one you used for department store bikes. Way overpriced. $200 to $300 max, that component package was a lot cheaper during the lifetime of that bike.
