I recognize a number of them. Some are obsolete, but of high quality nevertheless.  Nice to have if you work on older steel frame bikes.

Wow, that is some vintage bike tools in the pre-hex drive days when there was serious overlap in bike fittings and something you’d find on a boiler.  The derailleur combo wrench looks like it was used to bend a hanger back into alignment and the Schwinn wrench was probably used for the godawful one piece crank bottom brackets.

They’re likely made from pretty decent tool material but odds are you’re more likely to find a non bike use for them as standards have drifted to hex bolts and proprietary splines for stuff like bottom brackets.

Edit:  I actually recognize the Schwinn wrench, it would be on a very thin and very tough to purchase on locking nut on a square taper bottom bracket, so not THAT old but maybe useful.

  3. Look for a local nonprofit that does bicycle recycling.
These would be invaluable to them

Chain whips, cone wrenches, freewheel tools, bottom bracket spanners, all useful stuff for old bikes. The 600 the guy offered you though is a great deal. It’s not Michelangelo’s missing bike tools, if that’s what you’re wondering 🙂
