I’d be doing some steel wool scrubbing on that front fork to make sure it hasn’t rusted through and compromised the structure of it, to start. Looks like all of the silver parts could use that treatment.
If anything, try using some heat, a scraper, and some goo-gone to get rid of those stickers. The blue would probably pop a lot more if you could clean it up and have it continuous. New tires would go a long way for looks and handling.
As I recall, these were pretty clunky and heavy, but it could be a fun project and fun and ridiculous to ride regardless. Would be neat to get it all nice and shiny again.

No one’s ever been able to convince me the song isn’t about bikes, rather than cars.
It takes no gas, and I suspect taking a trip on a bike is a reference to Albert Hofmann’s famous ride.
It’ll be great, short of not cleaning it or fixing it up. Looks mostly like surface rust to me, but that’s always hard to tell from photos

Im assuming this is the schwinn chopper. There’s a website that sells parts made specifically for this bike.
I went crazy over these when they first came out. My dad bought one for me and then after a couple hours we both were like “I wonder if we could sell this” lmao
