Which bike should be my 1st gravel bike? I’m stuck between these 2 bikes around the $1000 mark (1000 and 900 USD). I live in a hilly gravel infested region of the midwest (Driftless Iowa). I love the idea of longish trips, probably about a week. I’m 6’1 and 190lbs male.

Oh shit I’ve been looking at the Journeyer but the Dame looks nice!!
I like that the dame has a steel frame! Thru axle is nice too.
The Journeyer has better components if you can get the Sora at 900, and I’d maybe prefer 2x over 1x.
I prefer 700c and it seems the Primos only comes as a 27.5, while the journeyer has both options.
Both are rated for 700x50mm tire clearance, similar geometry but the Journeyer has a shorter seat tube good if you ever wanted to put a dropper post on.
I ended up with the dame after trying it out and I couldn’t be happier, the weight is pretty negligible especially if you’re throwing full packs on it. I also prefer the actual shape of the frame due to having a larger space in the middle for a full frame bag.
