Noticed my brakes kept making a weird noise under stress which caused me to notice the bend I put on the lip of the rim. (Mavic CXP30)
Wheel holds air fine, spins true and has no other issues besides what’s pictured above.
Is this fixable? I’m guessing heat + try to bend without cracking?

Apologies if this was posted incorrectly or not allowed. Thank you for any help.
Do the rim sidewalls seem very concave? If so that’s a sign you’ve thinned the walls over time and they’re about to [fail catastrophically.](https://www.sheldonbrown.com/images/splitrimsmIMG_7317.JPG)
Initial thought is to try to bend it back because what else are you gonna do, but then unless you bend it back perfectly, you’re still going to feel a slight bump when braking. Worst case it’ll crack and you’ll need a new wheel or new rim. I guess the alternative is to leave it alone and ride it as-is and get used to that brake bump?
