I was torquing my stem clamp bolts to 6nm (according to the stem itself) and the threads on one of the 3 holes snapped. (The leftmost in the pictures)
The other 2 are still providing enough clamping force that the steerer tube doesnt spin in relation to the stem/handlebar.
Another stem like this is apparently hard to find and expensive.
Should I have torqued to less than 6nm?

how good is your dental insurance?
What does it say on the stem? If it says to torque to 6Nm, and the stem broke before getting to that point, it’s a warranty issue.
I would NOT ride on this at all as I prefer to keep all of my teeth intact. YMMV.
You wouldn’t want to risk it.
I get that manufacturers sometimes choose proprietary stems (for ‘aero’ or cable routing purposes), but to stray so far from proven simple solutions just seems unnecessary to me. 🤷🏼♂️
Insane if the threads broke before 6Nm.
Every day on Reddit makes me happy I can’t afford a fancy carbon bike.
