I barely had enough gears to make it up, but the Checkpoint survived. At the top there were hundreds of motorcycles, bicycles, and people from every country. Not pictured was my first piece of pizza in Italy.

i don’t know how I’m going to go back to riding in Boston i’m genuinely scared that I’m just going to dream about coming back here instead of enjoying my rides back home are the Alps too potent of a cycling drug and I only did one pass today i did Stelvio via Umbrell and apparently a lot of other motorcycles cyclists and cars decided to do the pass today too just a random Thursday these guys had never met in person before just on the app Ruvie shout out GRC Racing i tried not to Google things ahead of time and spoil the view so this was a complete surprise these hairpins beautiful with the mountains in the background the hairpins cause a bit of traffic on the downhill so I wasn’t really that scared cuz I couldn’t go that fast but I was hyper aware that those concrete barriers aren’t even the height of my knees it’s a good thing that I changed my brake pads when I was in Nancy nothing crazy the rest of the day it was just downhill and then moderate downhill after the first 10 miles i don’t think I was overheating but I was just about overheating so some good shade breaks were much needed especially if those shade brakes are from a cherry tree this is my absolute favorite bike paths downhill flying to Bullzano then bike paths to a spot where I ate some dinner that was linguini finally bike paths to an okay stealth site here are some stats for all you nerds and that’s a wrap

Stelvio is BRUTAL!! nothing like the Alps on a bike bro. total freedom. love your videos!!
your dad wrapping it at the end is chef's kiss
Indeed the alps are stunning…but do we tell you about Norway? Maybe @MatthewNorway is worth a watch…
The stelvio pass is one of the highest rated driving roads in Europe. Very cool that you were on it. Keep it up 👌🏼
That is beautiful. Maybe state side 6 months and then the Alps 6 months. Sounds good to me. Take care
Something about these videos is just getting better and better – maybe it’s your mood or something, but so nice to watch
Best solo video so far.
Beautiful!!! Marry an Italian!!! Problem solved…mostly. 😂
Develop your own bike tour. I would join.
Glad you are tracking of health.
Keep up with the awesome videos.
This guys videos really highlight how unbelievably beautiful the world is outside of America.
That’s beautiful. Have u don’t Calif hwy 1? I did it once, skeeerrrred me at times, way to narrow, but the ride was beautiful and had many camp grounds. Start in San Simeon or Santa Barbra and just go north, it’s an easy ride compared to this. U can do it in a few days up to Seattle or so.
When I first hiked the 48 high peaks in NH I did some of the most scenic first, then the others seemed like a chore. It’s for the Love that we do it for tho!
Can’t wait to do other countries tho. You’ll have stories for a lifetime.
Get a mountain bike and go to Lynn woods
If that Thursday was yesterday, it was a holiday in a lot of traditionally catholic regions in europe, I think the english word is corpus christi that would then explain all the other people around 🙂
So so beautiful 😍😍😍😍
Hey Sam, nice meeting you up on Stelvio. Enjoy your time and hopefully we meet again on Saturday during the Dolomites Bike Day Event 👍 Gilles from Team GRC)
