    Full suspension, skinny tires. Not sure it was the best idea, but definitely an idea

  2. A lot of these suspension experiments were seen in the Paris-Roubaix in 1990’s. When you say that “noone talks about it” I guess it simply means that this was a long time ago. I’m pretty sure Rockshox forks were used to win the race at least once.

    In hindsight it’s an awkward solution that shows how primitive the technology was back then. Pro cycling had a weird fixation on super narrow tires for all of 1980’s and 1990’s. In this Bianchi they use heavy and complex full suspension to solve the problems that they eventually came to solve by simply using wider tires.
