Second worst thing to happen to cycling, just behind premiumizatjon.
Hopeful its only a trend and we get nice paint jobs again in a few years apart from the boring black/grey/white.

Hot take maybe. But im actually quite fond of the boring paintjobs as they make a great base for a bike. If you aren’t pleased with the paintjob why not just paint it another color? I know an extra expense but these bikes are already such an investment why not make it completely yours?

it’s the same with cars these days. black, grey, dark silver. meh. however there are already loads of dark/black bikes a decade ago so it’s not exactly a new trend.
i would say that canyon’s top-tier bike usually come in flashy colours. I’m not so sure about this one, but at least it’s metallic.
I’m really biased though, i like their white bikes. even better if it’s metallic white. i got a comment a few days ago a mate in our team looked at my white bike and said “yo now this is a clean bike” 😆 there was also a commenter a while back who said the alpecin-fenix paint job was “peak canyon”, that’s something i can really agree with 😍

nah, they simply wanna you to pay good money for a custom paint or a designer one.

I want a loud, obnoxious colorful bike.

I am looking for a new bike, really like my endurace but want to upgrade. But the colors offered by canyon right now are holding me back to buy a canyon again.

BIGGEST PET PEEVE EVER! When I bought my car, probably half of the deciding factor was that only one company had a beautiful bright metallic yellow.
And I’ve been wanting a new bike, but no one seems to make a nice spec in anything but black/gray. Ugh!

I can’t believe they’re charging £5k for a bike where the colour is dull and boring, and you can’t change a single component at the point of ordering
We’re all being taken for mugs
Meanwhile they push out racey and aero marketing as if we’re all tour de France riders
The whole biking industry is upside down and inside out.

How much would it cost to do a pint job on my white canyon? I’m new to this.

Maybe the market was too *saturated*
But really, gimme all the color.

C’mon they are the best paint jobs.

On one side it’s indeed boring, on the other, more colorful paints „wear off“ visually.
