> Isn’t the air trapped in the inside part of the rim?
no.
The tape is not forming a good seal and allowing air to escape into the rim.
What tape do you have on there?

Have you tried to ride it for a few KMs? It might take a while for the sealant to seal all the little pores and holes.

Replace the rim tape.

Remove tire, remove tape, dry, wipe with alcohol, dry, reapply tape and tire. If its going flat the tape has a spot that is not stuck down. Make sure rim is dry and clean.

How many posts are there that are regularly complaining about the difficulty of maintaining a tubeless setup? Is all this effort to get the setup right for the marginal gains really worth it for the average rider? More then once I’ve been on rides with buddies who’s tubeless tire didn’t even seal a flat like it should have!
