Found a loop on RideWithGPS, awesome! Can’t wait.

Ride starts out fun, but soon hit with a no bike sign, damn. Gate has an RCW posting, I opt to not try my luck (soft, I know).

Heck it, let’s do the loop counter clockwise (didn’t have signs at that gate). Goes great, perfect maintained road, no pot holes or chunk or even washboard, love it. Boom, closed for forestry operations. Would’ve blown past this sign however…I would lose that battle against forestry equipment.

So what signs do you guys laugh at and ignore and which ones do you (usually) always listen to?

I would have honored both of those. No need to antagonize folks, cyclists lose out.

  2. Are those temporary based on trail conditions / forestry operation, or are bikes always prohibited?

Find other routes or you’ll get the mean end of some asshole’s rifle in your face, it’s not helping “our” cause.

Bikers and walkers are banned, but American flag is allowed, just say you’re an American flag

I went past a forestry ops sign like this yesterday but because it listed a date range of 6/13-18. I had also looked it up before leaving and the sign must have been left up although the work was completed, trail was clear and no one around. Normally I’d never go past.
