I have these for some years now and I always enjoyed the lever type on my front wheel but on back wheel it didn't have the lever and used 6 hex for mounting.
-> I found by surprise that you can remove the lever!
This means I don't need an 6 hex anymore to unmount/mount my wheels.
I am sure 95% of you knew this, but that's such a cool "hidden feature" that everyone should know about this.

I am taking a break from.my after work jaunt, sitting on a seat looking out at the Murray River in Northeast Australia listening to the wild ducks call and randomly scrolling reddit.
Then I come across your post and decide to check my 2024 Giant Revolt Advanced 0 and realise that what I thought was, inexplicably, a lever on the front axle only, was actually a removable hex-key

So that means one lever for both wheels, and you can store it at the front or the back – is that right?
Is it holding tight? Is there some active locking? Can it be lost?
Honestly, I wouldn’t rely on it. When you want to torque to spec these get uncomfortable to painful. Try torquing them to 17 Nm (my through axles are 15-20), really sucks. And then try loosening a through axles that’s been on there for a while, not so much fun either.
So kind of gimmicky, but still nice that it is indeed removable (unlike canyon…)
My Van Nicholas has the same system. And some reviews i read said this was outdated and cumbersome.
And i have no idea why… I think its a great feature
