RESISTANCE For Class / Safety FIRST!

You always want to push against resistance when riding the bike AT ALL TIMES! This will ensure you are maximising your efforts, which prevents you from bouncing around, is safe on your legs and knees, and is as effective as possible. We’ll Be Following The RPE Scale [Rate Of Perceived Exertion] This is based around HOW HARD YOU FEEL YOU are working on the bike, on a sale of 1-10.

👊 5/10 – MODERATE; You should feel some resistance / not to go lower than this on the bike / slightly uncomfortable

👊 6-7/10 – VIGOROUS; Requires effort to maintain pace / out of your comfort zone / out of breath

👊 8-9/10 – VERY HARD; You can only speak a few words / very hard to keep the pace

👊 10/10 – MAXIMUM EFFORT; Going as hard as you can / maximise ride time would be approx 30 seconds to hold this

come with me as i take you to a spin class david lloyd in leeds more town north the uk with the help of my fantastic 9-year-old assistant so we’re just making our way now i spin here every monday and thursday 10 6 so i’ll see you after work we’re just checking in now it’s a fantastic club has so many facilities got a hairdresser big reception there’s a barbers there as well uh just past now the tennis courts this is the canteen area as we come down into the main gym area we have other classes going on patees yoga but here this is where the magic happens the spin room now david ly offers a combination of spin classes i head up the rhythm classes and also there’s cyclone classes here as well so cyclone class is more about the power you put into the bike for those who might know a bit more about spin bikes these are stages bikes you’ll know that these are really amazing bikes they’ve got a an amazing power gauge so you can really track what you’re doing in class the results when it comes to your wattage and your input and i’m just trying to set up the best i can uh when it comes to rhythm classes this is more about the joy of music and riding to the beats of the track it’s a great 45inut session and it’s a great way to burn calories it’s a great way to increase your fitness and we welcome all levels here at the gym you could be coming into the gym for the first time you could be returning after a big break due to injury or traveling whatever your reservations might be about spin please do come in and try these classes they are awesome do hope to see you very soon on the bike i’ll leave details in the description box below come find me it’s mondays and thursdays 10 6 in morttown leadeds in the north in the uk of england and uh yeah a fantastic way to keep up your fitness when you’re in your 40s and beyond take care fight
