Hello! First post in here, just getting into bikewrenching and thought I'd start out with a singlespeed conversion for a citycruiser.
Found this old 90's Centurion GPX Computerized for around $200 and would like to know if it's a decent price?
Owner says its only rolled about 300km, so pretty much brand new. Suntour GPX components and a Tange No1 frame.
Also, any tips for parts or good to knows are very much welcome 🙂

Aww, please don’t massacre that perfectly beautiful road bike to make another soulless singlespeed conversion.
besides, singlespeed is at the trailing edge of a trend – it is just not that cool anymore.
I’d say make the necessary adjustments to fit your desired ergonomy and ride it first!
Oh and btw, a better base for a city cruiser would be something with larger tire clearance and canti or V-brakes. Cruising is much nicer on a 2″ tire than on a 1″ one. Also the relaxed headtube and seattube angle is better on a ATB than a roadbike. + clearance between the feet and your front wheel. Visit r/xbiking for more Cruiser style bike conversions.
