What can I even do to salvage these? Should I just rip the whole thing out? PNS at it again… I did message them and got 20% coupon for a pair of new bibs, given they were past the 2 year warranty. I always wash and air dry them
What even causes this? Did you go too tight? Did you ride in the rain? Did you catch your bib on something?

I have a PAS Pro bib that did this after 3 rides recently. I contacted them and they offered me a 40% refund, I would’ve expected a full refund or store credit for a full priced replacement. Pretty disappointed but at least the bib is still functional. Not sure if it’s a sizing thing, it doesn’t feel too tight. My MAAP bibs fit tighter and they’ve never had a tear like this

Don’t they have a repair service?

What temperature do you wash them at? The glue or heat adhesion looks like it broke down. This usually happens when textiles are subject to extreme temperature or just poorly manufactured. (I’m a cyclist who works in garment production.)
This is one of several reasons why I try to hand wash my athletic gear but I realize that’s kind of annoying for most people. Machine agitation + heat breaks down clothes.

This is the reason why I don’t see how PAS is doing well and regarded as the King of cycling brands as neither the products don’t hold quality and their customer service is bullshit. I’m still waiting 3 weeks going for customer service to get back to me (they said it’s been escalated to higher department). Like another redditor posted, I have a maap bib from when they had the maap logo around the leg grippers (yes even though the chamois is done) the fabric and stitching is still intact.
However people will buy what they like and that’s their decision. However it’s good to be informed, as I’ve done my research and can tell there are many brands who have similar stitching, material composition and fit just like Pas but at lower prices. Also, I really don’t understand their TKO and PAS collections along with the price discrepancy. Just mind blowing how they decide to increase the price for a slight design change and different collection name where the weight of the product and materials are similar to the mechanism jerseys. Lol

Don’t buy PNS. Buy from a more established brand like Assos or Nalini.

I’ve seen so many people complain about their pricey bib shorts (and thermal bib shorts) failing ‘prematurely’ and I am beginning to worry/think that the adage ‘you get what you paid for’ doesn’t apply here.
