Had my first puncture (more of a blowout because of a 5mm slit in the sidewall). Luckily it was when I folded the bike arriving at the hotel after a night of hauling freight. I had the correct tools, except for a decent pump. Lost the brompton one the first week and now use a small one that doesn't give enough pressure. Anyone have recommendations on a good and light pump?

No big loss with either version of the brompton pumps. They’re enough to get you to a usable pressure (70psi range) but not quite to 100psi. Other issue is lots of sideways pressure on the the valve stem unless you brace it correctly.

I found pumps like the topeak morph mini g to be improvement. Which has pressure gauge inline. Has foot so braced against ground and not valve stem so easier to pump and no damage to valve stem.
