hello and welcome to highlights of stage three of the touris women overkus cersei to Kushna today marlon Royce is still leading Damy Volering by 4 seconds going into the penultimate stage martac now wearing the Queen of the Mountains jersey dam Volering would start the day in the black points jersey plenty of bonus seconds on offer along the route eleanor Chiaoko still in the white jersey as the best young rider on paper it looked like it could be a day for the sprinters after two tough days behind them and with one ahead they were not going to let that opportunity to try and pass them by out of campus say the first climb of the day coming with 101 km to go the ball of pass hockey cat 3 climb then the react sprint in Sans with 60 km to go the tisso kilometer coming with 39.1 and 38.1 respectively 321 bonus seconds on offer on each of those the Agari Stras and the Cat 2 climb a plateau and then a descent and a run to the finish that’s what the riders will be tackling on today’s stage it was Olympic champion Kristen Forner that went clear early on in the day she had taken maximum points over the first climb of the day michaela Harvey of SD works Pro Time on the front controlling things with Guy Railini the gap just over a minute to the US and Olympic champion not a rider that you give too much of an advantage to another blisteringly hot day for the riders with temperatures just a touch under 30° C the next objectives along the route the react sprint was taken by Faulner and then into the tisso kilometer faulner took 3 seconds but a great lead out by FDJ Suez delivered damy following to 2 seconds marlon Royster didn’t score on the first sprint she would have to try and level things on the second sprint in the kilometer faulner took the three and then behind it would be a full almost finish level lead and sprint by Marlon Royer to take 2 seconds dam Volerin took one it means that Dy Volin had closed the gap to 3 seconds cassie Anivvia Doma also making contact with Volering and Roya but not able to capitalize on that and go clear there was still a lot of climbing to come the queen in the mountains point on the Agari Strata with 35.7 to go forner took the six points the Queen in the mountains leader Marta Lak had been dropped sarah Jagante of AG insurance Sudal coming off the wheel of Laura to take four points and that means for the Aussie and the AG insurance Sudal rider goes into the final day one point behind in the Queen of the Mountains plenty of attacks in students to drink a bow the next rider to try her hand Cassie Anubia Doma and Neve Fisher Black straight with her three dangerous riders to try and go clear nvia had pulled back time on yesterday’s stage they were joined by Fea Dere but unfortunately the breakaway just swelled in numbers too much and it was all back together le had done a great job throughout the stage to try and keep Alisa Balsamo in the position for the sprint on the fast descent though Damy Volerin gave it a nudge and was railing it down the descent and she did stretch the Pelaton right out and put quite a few riders into difficulty they came to the foot of the descent and it was still all together elisa Balsamo out and out the fastest sprinter in the race but plenty of teams fancing their chances of a punch kick movar were keeping Royce out of trouble and up towards the front into the finish emma Norskard doing a great lead out misha Bradol was poised and ready on the wheel of her teammate Blancabas out of the final corner and what was a downhill sprint 300 m to go bossimo hit the front and you could tell for her it felt too early it came down to a straight fight between Alisa Balsamo and Misha Bradold who started to come off the wheel with 100 meters to go as they hit the line Balsamo celebrated bradold threw her bike for the line and it was quite a while before the verdict was given balsamo wasn’t sure if she’d celebrated too early in the end she hadn’t but it was close for the lead track rider and she takes her second career win here in the tour to Swiss but a great throw to the line by Misha Bradold that was the margin at the finish falsamo celebrates brad of old throws the bike at the line but also takes the stage so Alisa Balsamo Misha Brad of Noi Rupodium Scaniac so following Royer Anderson Perkins Ree and Shab your top 10 alisa Balsamo pays back the lead team with a phenomenal stage victory our general classification now looks like this with one day to go marlon Royster leads Davy Boling by 3 seconds cassian Doma at 123 with Shab Garcia Fisher Black Zigga Ru Chibbokco and Castelline your top 10 she won the Tortois Swiss overall in 2023 will she take it again on stage four our final day a tough stage in the saddle starting and finishing in Kushnack four climbs along the route the tortois Swiss is going to be decided but still plenty more competitions up for grabs the Queen of the Mountains is also going to be an exciting one will Maron Royer still be in yellow at the end of stage 4 can Damy Bolering close the gap and defend her tour to Swiss title make sure you join us for more action tomorrow
