How we packed our bikes to check them on a plane to Iceland!

so you’re biking around Iceland but how are you getting your bikes there good question we’re putting them in these boxes and checking them on the plane in the beginning this sounded extremely intimidating because obviously we don’t want our bikes to break but once we started moving it all made sense we opted for the cardboard box method since we didn’t want to drop a bunch of cash on a cool official bike box but maybe we’ll get there one day our main goal here is to protect the frame of the bike and to protect all the main components so we bubble wrapped and foed the heck out of everything took off the chain the pedals made sure our SE posts were down took off the handlebars and most importantly secured the derailer and zip tied it up so it wasn’t hanging when everything’s in the Box you don’t want the bike to move and you don’t want anything to rub on anything oh and you’re also going to want to deflate your tires airplanes pressure you know how it goes and what about the rest of our gear we’re checking everything else on the plane or carrying it on and that’s pretty much it see you guys in Iceland I’m not nervous you are
