tomorrow my dad and I are headed to France for our annual father and daughter cycling trip through the French Alps before you think to yourself “What a nice way to relax together.” No think again we go hard not only are we doing this on our tandem bike which is much more challenging than if both of us were to ride our singles but we carry all of our gear and supplies with us and we climb some of the toughest but most scenic peaks and passes last year we climbed the equivalent altitude of three trips up Mount Everest now this year we’re adding several days to our trip and we also added some additional technology to our bike to help us do so a little electric motor so we’re also upgrading and adding some items to our cycling toolkit now last year we did have a few mechanical issues that we needed to fix on the fly so our toolkit is an essential part of making sure that we have a successful adventure and as you can imagine I’m in charge of making sure we have all the right tools and we really need quality because we have to be able to rely on them in another country where we don’t speak the language last time I was here with my dad trying to use his tools his hex key set was all rusted and seized so I had to take the whole thing apart clean and lube every single piece just to be able to use them so I got him these really nice hex sets and these L keys are powder coated for durability and check out this cool adapter now this is great for increasing torque without digging the tool into your palm i also got these tea handle sets with organizers because look at this messy drawer how am I ever supposed to find the size that I need this is going to be a huge upgrade for his workshop and will help us tear down the bike and put it in the bike box for the flight so if you’re a cycling enthusiast as well or if you just want to live vicariously through us be sure to keep up with my stories as we post daily updates
