In October half Term holidays we stayed at the amazing camping resort of Les Ormes, situated in Dol de Bretagne in Brittany. this amazing Campsite is so close to the ferry ports to the UK and is a perfect first time camping in France experience for holiday makers. We stayed with Eurocamp in a Premium Azure mobile home which cost us under £170 for 4 nights. I went solo parenting even though I swear I said I’d never do it again and although it had its challenges we had a really nice time, probably thanks to the campsite.

We are Family Camping Europe!

Our mission is to help fellow campers like you have the most incredible holidays by providing comprehensive reviews, captivating vlogs, and valuable hints and tips.

Our passion for camping runs deep and has been a shared interest since the very beginning. In fact, we met while working on a campsite in France, where we fell in love amidst the beauty of Europe. From that moment, we knew that exploring nature, the outdoors, campsites and Europe together would be an integral part of our lives.

With years of experience discovering the beauty of Europe’s diverse landscapes, we’ve become experts in uncovering hidden gems and top-notch camping destinations.

From stunning coastal resorts to enchanting woodland getaways, we showcase the best camping experiences for families.

And it doesn’t have to be all about wild camping in the woods. We show families how to have luxury experiences on camping budgets. Camping isn’t just about getting your wellies dirty. Many of the campsites we discover have waterslides, themeparks, wine tasting, arcades and more. While I enjoy the roughing side of camping, I also enjoy the luxuries.

Immerse yourself in our outdoor escapades. Join us as we pitch tents, unlock mobile homes, and embark on thrilling outdoor activities and delicious alfresco dinners.

We believe that camping is not just a holiday; it’s a lifestyle that brings families closer, builds communities, fosters a love for the outdoors, and creates cherished memories that last a lifetime.

hello and welcome to the family camping Europe YouTube channel if you hadn’t already guessed we love camping after meeting on a campsite in France we got married started growing our family and made it our mission to spend our family holidays exploring Europe Chasing the Sun jumping in pools and making the best family memories so if you love camping and exploring too hit the little subscribe button to keep updated with our hints and tips and reviews in this video I’m going to show you around the Les or campsite which is domain DS LS campsite that we are currently staying at and it’s just me and Lotty here on this trip so it’s taken me quite some time to actually explore and look around because twoy olds are very unpredictable in fact so unpredictable actually this is a very predictable thing but she has just spilled her like 30th drink of the trip have we’ve already been here one day is that all in your shoe we got a wet shoe now okay let’s sort it out I’ve wanted to visit this campsite for years and with our youngest off of Crash but our oldest in a holiday club I thought what a better time than the October half term Lor’s domain and Resort is located in DOA brania Britany this campsite is one of the most unique Resorts we’ve stayed at it’s more than just a campsite it’s a full Holiday Village with activities and accommodation for every type of visitor with everything from tree houses Lake cabins mobile homes camping pictures and even a full Hotel lorms truly has something for everyone one of the main reasons we picked Li arms was the sheer amount of activities on offer whether you’re into Outdoor Adventure Water Sports or just relaxation there’s an option for you here the resort is set on an enormous 200 hect estate that includes to golf courses fishing lakes pools Treetop climbing and even a horse riding Center let’s start with the thing you all want to see the water park you guys [Music] [Music] LS has one of the largest water parks we’ve seen at a campsite with multiple heated pools slides a lazy river and even a wave pool all housed inside a massive tropical Dome this pool area was not only warm it was beautiful too we spent hours upon hours in here the Lazy River was cool and it even went outside into a heated pool which actually felt incredibly warm even in October the campsite does also have numerous other outdoor pools however these were closed at this time of year there is a pool at the hotel two outside the golf club and an outdoor water park with slides in the heart of the campsite even if these were open I imagine we would have probably stuck to the D pool whilst the WEA was nice it’s not outdoor swimming weather in October the Dome was more than enough for us there were lots of pools and our daughter loved the children’s Pool wave pool and even had a go on the giant slides the changing areas had tons of showers and lockers so you could keep everything safe and we were really impressed with the whole setup for adventure lovers this campsite has high ropes course a climbing wall zip lines and they can all be booked through the information Point next to the main reception unfortunately we didn’t manage to do these activities as the minimum age was 4 years old but we did however have a bit of fun on the pirate ship bouncy castle which was just outside the swimming pool and we also played on the lovely little children’s park located opposite the older kids park there was also some multiports facilities there and a football pitch [Music] this is the mini [Music] go the campsite is currently building a whole new area in the center and whilst this caused a little disruption to our stay it wasn’t overly annoying and the plans of the new building look absolutely amazing they’re building a traditional style half timbered building to house the shop restaurant seminar rooms and I really want to go back in 2025 with the whole family to see how it looks however the current facilities are already really good the bar area was beautiful it looked like a traditional British pub it had a fireplace two Terraces to sit on one which was overlooking the outdoor pool and the other overlooked the water skating Lake and yes you did hear that there is a water skiting lake next door to the bar there was an ice cream and Waffle Shop which we obviously enjoyed and next door to that was a pizzeria restaurant and takeway this was the more casual of the restaurants on site there is also Li club which is a bit more of a formal restaurant and it’s in a lovely Stone building I think a lot of golfers come here to go for lunch in between golfing one of things that we loved about this campsite and which I didn’t quite expect it to have is the amount of nature the word resort to me is synonymous with builtup concrete and over luxurious but actually here they’ve managed to have a resort whilst all also maintaining an authentic nature-rich campsite I went looking for the floating houses because that’s actually a thing here and these homes float on lakes so I had to find them and they were in this beautiful natural environment surrounded by woods and I saw loads of squirrels and loads of different bird trills and hundreds and hundreds of geese it really is filled with nature the grass was beautiful and green the trees were turning orange and honestly felt so enriched while I was here son I really didn’t expect to feel we enjoyed the campsite so much that we almost never left we didn’t even leave for a supermarket as the campsite shop was fairly good however we did take a day trip to the St Marlo aquarium as it had been recommended to us and we really weren’t disappointed it was a little crowded due to it being the school holidays but it was way better than I thought it would be it was large it had so many different marine animals and even some simulator and submarine rides I definitely recommend it if you are getting the ferry to St Marlo or getting the ferry from St Marlo and you’re wondering what to do before either going to your accommodation or going home whilst we didn’t want to leave the campsite Liz ORS is a perfectly located for exploring Britany the famous monan Michelle is only a 30-minute driveway and is a must visit if you haven’t already but get there early in the morning to secure parking and also the town of do branna with its narrow cou Stone streets and Charming architecture is also nearby back at the campsite there’s also a Cricut pitch so many grassy areas for picnics pedalos mini golf and even a full schedule of day and evening entertainment from family friendly shows to fireworks which we did here but unfortunately didn’t see lizor is a truly beautiful campsite but one handy tip which I didn’t do is to bring Wellies the campsite is very grassy and dewy and and it never really dried during our stay so we had some really muddy trainers so yeah definitely make sure you bring your Wellies if you are staying here especially in October I mean summer I’d probably still bring them just because the weather can be so temperamental in Britany it’s very close to the weather in Southern England so definitely pack for that kind of weather anyway if you do have any questions then please drop them in the comments and if you found this video helpful then please give it a thumbs up don’t forget to subscribe to our channel for more family camping reviews thank you so much for watching and we’ll see you in the next video oh know
