Replace, its your head. Even a small hit the wrong way can damage it. I’ve seen people that have fallen from stand still and ended in vegetative state.

Send an email to poc. Some head adjustment systems are simply snap on/off.
Otherwise, I was a helmet product manager before, I would not ride this if it changes the fit in any way compared to before. I would also not ride this if this is the result of any kind of crash. I would definitely not ride this if the plastic has become brittle.

I had that happen, I just taped it with a good white fabric type tape (climbing/hockey) and rode it.

Super glue baby.

That seems to be common issue in general. Admittedly, I previously used superglue to fix it and it was fine until I eventually replaced the helmet many months later after a crash.
On such an expensive brand like POC, I’d expect something else so contact customer care right away

If you can’t get a replacement for that I’d swap helmets. Good fitting helmets can save your life. Just a few days ago, a friend had a huge OTB crash and had the helmet not been able to properly do its job, the injuries might have been life altering or worse
