Sandhill crane. There’s a good bike trail campground in Wisconsin called Sandhill Station, where a ton of those dudes congregate at dawn.

I watched a mated pair of Sandhills mess up a bald eagle that tried for one of their two youngsters
Eagle came in low across the grass flats and it looked like the adults weren’t even paying attention. Then just before the eagle passed the male he jumped up in the air and hit the eagle so hard in the back with his bill it drove the eagle into the ground. Instantly the mom was on it. Then dad. They pecked that eagle who was screaming and trying to flap his wings and get away . . .
And they just kept hammering on him until he was far enough away from the babies that they let him go
Do not mess with cranes with young ones. In fact just don’t mess with cranes
