Maap have other long sleeve jerseys designed for sun protection. They’re basically summer jerseys with long sleeves. Wear those instead of this which will make you melt

  2. It’s a very warm jersey. I can’t ride in it comfortably in over 60F degree temps.

  3. No, this is a thick jersey best for 55-62 F (13-17 C) weather where a short sleeve is too cold but a heavier, more weather proof jacket is unnecessary. Even as its not good for warmer weather, I still don’t like my “eclipse thermal LS jersey” as its not great moisture wicking and isn’t great for anything colder than mentioned so I just sweat in it and then get cold, but has not weatherproof capabilities like a wind/waterproof jacket

  4. Ya don’t wear a thermal jersey in the summer. They make summer specific LS jerseys for your exact use case.

  5. Anything labeled thermal is going to (or at least should) be too hot in the summer.

I have a thermal jacket from Rapha that looks similar. Great in the winter. Would cook me in temps over ~65°F/18°C

Given the name of the jersey I’d think it’s sensible to assume it isn’t made for summer riding. But everyone is different and reacts differently to heat / cold. Will also depend how hard you’re riding. I’d break into a sweat just thinking about wearing that jersey in a mild British summer.

  7. Way too hot, go on Maap’s website and you can filter long sleeve jerseys for summer, they have plenty that can be worn on hot summer days but definitely not this one.
