It looks like it’s getting there, but looking isn’t the test.
Are you suffering chain suck (when the chain follows the back side of the chain ring up instead of releasing cleanly and heading to the lower jockey wheel) today? If so replace.
Otherwise, replace the chain when it’s time to replace the chain and if a new chain skips on the old ring, then it’s time to replace the ring. You can test this with a “max torque” standing start in your smallest cog.
