I'm installing a brand new Ekar chainset but I'm having trouble as a plastic cover on the bearing stops me fully seating the bearing! In the image it's that dark green part on the bearing. I can't see any sort of bearing cover on any aftermarket bearings.
Any tips appreciated!

I’ve also read all the docs online from Campag and none show that little plastic cover 😫
EDIT – the cover is actually painted metal
