what’s going on peeps today we are going to talk about how much it costs to get your full category a motorcycle license via the direct access course I recently completed the direct access course and the question I get asked the most is how much did it cost so in this video I’m going to break down the four things you’ll need to get your full unrestricted license and how much each of those things will cost you so let’s start the first thing you’re going to need is your CBT certificate this is your compulsory basic training and can be completed at your local motorcycle training school the cost for this was £50 the bike and Equipment were included in this price and the training takes approximately 6 hours this covers everything from basic Theory riding techniques and a practical 2hour Road ride once you complete this training you can ride a motorcycle up to a 125 CC the second thing you’ll need to do is complete your theory test this can be completed at your local dvsa test center and consists of 50 multiple choice questions along with a hazard perception test and the cost for this is currently £23 third thing you’ll need to complete is your mod one test which costs £20 plus your lesson fee and the fourth thing you’ll need to complete is your mod to test which costs £85 plus a lesson fee to complete complete your mod one and mod two test you’ll need to undertake onroad training with your local motorcycle training school the cost of lessons I paid for were 65 per 2hour lesson on average you’ll need 10 to 12 lessons but this can depend on each individual’s ability and experience some people may need less and some people may need more I completed my training in 10 lessons which consisted of Five Lessons on a 125cc motorbike to gain consistency on the road and then five lessons on a 700 CC motorbike the total cost of my lessons was £650 I also paid a damage waiver fee of £40 so that if I dropped or damaged one of the trading school’s bikes I was insured fully comped and it wouldn’t cost me anything additional to repair I also completed a mod one practice session at the exam Center during one of my lessons which costs an extra5 for hiring the area for an hour for the mod 2 test the lesson fee was for 2 and 1 half hours so the lesson cost here was £80 and you can also pay for the dask course in full which usually costs around ,200 to ,00 and includes everything discussed except for the theory test I opted for the pay youo approach which actually saved me money and the full course costs were as follows CBT £150 Theory test £23 10 lessons £650 damage waiver fee 440 mod one practice £15 mod one test was £20 plus a65 lesson fee and the mod two test was £85 plus an 80 lesson fee bringing the total cost to 1,128 it took me 10 weeks and less than £1,200 to get my full category a license check the links in the description for the CBT and Theory test as well as the live footage from my d lessons and the mod one and mod 2 test thanks for watching if you find this video useful please like And subscribe and as always drop your questions in the comments below

I took a quick test and got a learners permit here, you have to ride with someone with an endorsement. Then I took a training course over two (half) days, and you get your motorcycle endorsement. I can ride whatever bike I want at any time. If I do any more training, it will lower my insurance costs though.
Lots of hoops for you fellas across the pond that’s for sure.
How long were your lessons ?
so if i go with the DAS route, i wont need to do theory for a motorcycle? i have a full driving licence
What app did you use for the theory practice?
