I bought a Diamondback Hubba 20". I wanted to get back I to riding around town, doing simple flatland tricks maybe and riding around pathways at camp with my wife and dog (paths for casual walks not trails). The bottom bracket / crank clunks a little every time the right crank is at the top. The back hub also has a spot I feel a small clunk every rotation. Could these be upgraded to make it a tougher / better bike?

  1. ..eh not really

i say change it to a 3 piece crank and then just ride it till it breaks. not worth doing anything else to it

Oh totally, you can change almost everything on that for an upgrade ( apart from axel size), if it’s an aluminum frame, even better. I just picked up an old steel mongoose with a threaded fork, and that’s changing… my point, you can do lots it it

You could . All around. But as others have said. I wouldnt do too much. Besides get those cranks off right away.. those are bad bad. But after that.. just get a feel for bike and if this is gonna be lorlng term before going to far upgrading. Resale if you decide it isnt for you is about 50% return. It gets expensive fast .
