Got one of those quil stem adapters to put a standard stem on instead of quil but it’s too small in diameter. But I can’t seem to find other sizes for this style of adapter.
Currently I just shoved an inner tube to make up the difference and I make sure it’s super tightened but obviously that’s janky and has some play.
Any solutions welcome!

If I understand correctly, you need something like this : https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/stems/mpart-ahead-stem-shim-adapts-1-18-inch-286-mm-to-1-inch-254-mm/?geoc=FR
The part that is too small is the part where the stem clamps onto the adaptor?
Most adaptors are 1” and often come with a 1 1/8” adaptor – a sleeve thing that goes around the top part so it clamps properly. An inner tube isn’t nearly enough to hold it together properly.
If that’s it you just need the sleeve part.
