The Crazy Bars are awesome.

So far, so good on the tires. I have only taken it for a spin on the road.

This was my first time wrapping bars and it took me two tries, and messing up the finish. Found a comment about using twine, and that worked out great and adds a unique touch.

I’m considering a rigid fork, but am going to ride it as-is for now!

  1. Honestly an awesome option for a gravel bike.

If anything, I’d swap out that coil fork for a cheap air fork. Would make a huge difference in the ride.

I did this kind of myself once.

Base was a Trek Marlin 5 which I converted to a rigid MTB that was less than 10kg in its final form. I used mostly AliExpress and used Parts and it was light, fast and still pretty capable – although later on I threw in a used older Fox 32 Kashima Fork.

So definitely not the worst Bike to start of something like that
