I just recently discovered “inner” bar ends and put a pair from the 90s to use on my commuter. They are by far my preferred hand position when riding. Mind you, not for riding around unpredictable surroundings, but awesome on long segments and light packing. While you have yours set up as drops, you can experiment with them in other positions too to see what you like best.

They are the dumbest thing that I have seen all month so far.
It doesn’t much matter what we think. How about a report from you about the comfort and useability. Something more than “they’re great”.
When I’m in the drops on trails, I’m usual descending, so I’d want access to my brakes.
