on YouTube That’s the place to be So yes There we go Glasgow Central Station all the way along Guile Street looking great this afternoon We are outside House of Fraser HSBC Bank Zara the night store and lots of other stores going up Buchanan Street Buchanan Street is always busy always vibrant always good in the days of sunshine We just need to keep talking anyway I just need to keep ranting ranting on because that guy is singing down the street and you know what happens when we don’t talk and there somebody playing music or singing YouTube don’t like it They give us any trouble They are you from A very good morning What are you up to today um I’ve just been for a bite to eat Um I went to a place down the road called Adajio It’s a it’s a hotel and I reviewed it recently in Too Good to Go Their two good to go boxes are amazing I got another one this morning £320 and it had a plethora of different things in it Fresh fruit salad coke meat cheeses um cheddar cheese bree you name it Lots of different meats bread pastries um carrot cake lots of stuff for only £320 It’s an absolute bargain of the century [Music] Yes it was It was just as good as it was last time if not better So yes Adagio in Glasgow has a fantastic two good to go food deal If you check back on my my channel all the two good to go reviews that I’ve done food reviews you’ll see the Adagio one It’s absolutely topnotch Really really good There we go Princess Square in Glasgow Always a beautiful building Always really really nice the iron work outside it If you’re new to the channel my name is yourselves But yes Glasgow is absolutely glorious today The weather’s fantastic We’re looking at 24° tomorrow I know 24° in sunshine and then it’s robot resorting back to rain on Thursday I don’t know what’s going on with this weather but let me tell you we won’t complain We will take the sun when we can get it James Squat what do you what do you like about Too Good to Go well let me tell you James uh there are many different restaurants on it The reason um I’ve been doing two good to go reviews is to show people the affordability um and value for money So there’s some great places there’s some terrible places but hopefully with me doing the reviews people can make the informed decision on what different places they think they might want to give a try Essentially it’s food that’s definitely not beyond human consumption Essentially at the end of breakfast time in a lot of these hotels and different places like that they will give you essentially as much food as you want in a container that they’re going to throw in the bin and you can buy it at a fraction of the cost So for me it’s all about value for money There might be people out there that can only afford one meal a day they might see something on my channel and go “Wow I can get all that food that would do me maybe two meals and it’s only costing them a you know a small amount of money.” So yeah it’s about showing people value for money They don’t have to waste their money And I do it with my travel as well Well James as you’ve seen I don’t know if you’ve seen um on the channel I’ve ate in every single one of them Um I’ve asked them “Do you mind if I sit and eat my two good to go box in your hotel or whatever?” They’ll say “No there you go Enjoy yourself.” Couple of places and they’ve went “Would you like a coffee as well?” Yes please Absolutely I will not say no to that So yeah they are very obliging really good really helpful Every place I’ve been in not to say every place I’ve been in has been good Some have been pretty poor Malmese on Glasgow Extremely poor Where else was poor courtyard by Marriott Honestly if I had a union rep I would have been contacting them What I got in Courtyard by Marriott was absolutely criminal I would hate to think what they charge people full price what I got for £4 Let me tell you it wasn’t even worth2 It was absolutely horrendous Hilton Gardens in 10 out of 10 Diagio 10 out of 10 Maldderron Hotel I don’t know what I scored them but it was reasonably good Um God I can’t remember There was lots of places I can remember the bad ones let me tell you because there was only a couple of them Um are you doing okay do your dogs bite don’t think that guy understands English That’s a shame But let me tell you his work with sand is very very good [Music] Well James let me tell you mate if you’re building a mobile a mobile app it’s going to be making things more affordable to people drop me an email um if you want to use me for that kind of thing helping promote the the features and benefits I started this YouTube channel as a journey um to create me and myself and little Specky who comes out and food reviews with me um and around Scotland but ultimately it was to show people the affordability to be able to eat out as well as to travel Everybody’s salary has not increased that much at all You know with the rate of inflation and many things everything has became very very expensive for everyone But I do my damnedest to try and find the best deals on travel the best deals on eating out And believe it or not last year I started doing it on um other retail units like um conscientious consuming essentially That’s what I called it I know it’s a bit of a tongue twister Conscientious consumer That’s what I would call myself Started showing people the best times that I found to buy clothes and different other things as well that you could get them at a discounted rate So yeah everything I do is all about affordability You’ll never ever see me sitting in a restaurant eating fillet steak lifting my pinky drinking some sort of fancy cocktail thinking I’m the big I am That is absolutely not me I come from a workingclass family I eat workingass food and I do workingass things Everything I do is for the average everyday person that doesn’t think that they’re above themselves It’s as simple as that Gemma we’re in Buchanan Street in Glasgow city center Um yeah So we’ve just been down to Adadio again I got that’s my second time getting some food I didn’t vlog it I’ve done I’ve already done it before but let me tell you that food parcel I got was even better than the one that I thought was amazing Um on the channel Adajio you’ll see it on the channel £320 The food quality is outstanding and lots of it Take up to 25% off sandals Little Specky’s favorite shoe shop Shoe She likes to get in there for her trainers We did buy her a pair of Rebox just a couple of weeks ago I think it was more because it was a pair of trainers I wore as a young man I wanted to buy them Nostalgia The good news is top restaurants and hotels are catering less are caring less about the customers They just want sales 100% Um I’ve got to got to agree with that James I worked in um retail as a young man I’m a barber to trade um end up becoming a boss for Audi um within sales and marketing um for a period of time and let me tell you I’ve I’ve worked we kind of top brands understanding sales strategies marketing strategies and you’re you’re very right they’ve got KPIs to hit on a daily basis and sometimes they become more important than the customer So yes if you have a look at what’s the chap who owned phones for me years ago John what’s his face john Codwell Christ almighty He was the absolute perfect perfect person in regards to doing people out of money All he cared on was shifting units out the door After sales was nonexistent God I remember those days Absolut is probably a billionaire now if if not in high hundreds of millions But yes I still don’t believe with the financial services kind of authority or kind of regulations being there that people are still being protected enough I don’t think they are That’s just my opinion but that’s for four of quitting vaping So let just to let you know if anybody smokes cigarettes or vapes I’m doing a 14-day 10-minute daily review on how I’m feeling in regards to quitting vaping Um we’ll save that signal in there but we’ll head over in that direction And you can and I’ll show you guys another little bit of Glasgow Yes James Absolutely So they do say London are on what 10% more than people in the rest of the UK Um it depends on what you do you know Um I’m a barber to trade you know haircuts range between 20 and 40 My young cousin he lives in Canary Warf in London He’s 60 quid for a haircut I’m thinking “Wow I could clean up in London as a barber I’d probably make a right few quid.” Highly dense area You know everyone needs a haircut But it would need to be the right place wouldn’t it my favorite place in London let’s go My favorite place in in London is Shortorditch Shord is a class area Um great for coffee Lots of different coffee shops Just along the road you’ve got Brick Lane the famous Bagel Bake which is not bad at all There’s a great little fresh Italian kind of takeaway lunch place just across from the Zed Hotel in Shortitch Um a drink and some pasta dish for like £10 Absolute bargain Really really tasty And they make the pasta fresh on house You see they’re making it really good Um so yeah Oh there’s a beautiful little Polish deli just around the corner or behind just along the road from the Z hotel as well I can’t remember the name of it I vlogged that in short Um I got a coffee and I got this kind of um brown kind of whole meal kind of French bread thing with Polish sausage and egg in it And I think I get the coffee and the um the food was like £750 Again an absolute steal Really really good value for money So yeah [Music] Uh my god 29 is coming Well 69k it is a lot of money but I don’t think that’s a great salary for London Um I would expect salaries to be more more than that in London because let me tell you I have been to some places and I’ll give you an example I can go into a shop here and buy um Colgate toothpaste for £150 I went into a shop in London and the same Colgate toothpaste cost me £4 I was like “What on earth?” So yeah London is pretty expensive Ah what a day So yes guys the they’ve been digging up this street here all the way down to the bottom where Buchanan Gallery is for I don’t know since 2020 there or thereabouts about 5 years It’s just recently they’ve started finishing the street off putting in some nice new benches all the way as far as the eye can see They’ve been digging up the street They’ve still got small elements of the street to finish which the guys are out on the little diggers doing If there’s anywhere you guys would like me to review in Glasgow let me know in the comments below I’m always happy to go and look at places There’s a couple of great food reviews coming in the next few days as well I keep saying to you guys as well I’ve got some videos that I need to edit and upload from a while ago Um I’m procrastinating Or is is that just a plight where you’re saying “Specky you’re being lazy.” I think it probably is Yeah just being lazy Don’t mind doing a little bit of content these videos Oh what do you think absolutely Uh jam knock yourself out I go for it Why don’t you uh Inavo Center hang on a second There’s a place you need to check out In Seavoy Center up the back sweet shop great value um all of the time Yes I have got to agree They actually sell excuse me a second my friend They actually sell um bottles of juice and crisps if it’s the same place I’m thinking It’s just in the entrance um to the other side of here Um yeah they sell lots of snacks and stuff at an affordable price if that’s the place you’re talking about Yep I think I’ve done a we vlog on that as doesn’t have to break the bank as well So it’s all good All good stuff Now we’ve got a street sweeper that’s about to drown us out with his brushes Yeah cleaning the streets keeping them neat and tidy So yeah Glasgow a bit of a mess When we turn this corner to the right hand side you’ll see exactly what I mean It’s not great at all [Music] [Music] Just a mess everywhere isn’t it look at the state of this Cambridge Street This has been closed off for years as well Another part of the city It was always vibrant Now it’s just a dumping ground for tradesmen Don’t know the last time I’ve seen this street open way over 5 years ago But yeah I imagine every other city in the whole of the United Kingdom is suffering big time just like Glasgow [Music] Yeah there we go How on earth has somebody managed to get up look at this They’ve they’ve graffitated the easy hotel We’ve managed to get on top of this old building here Take graffiti up on the easy hotel at the side I don’t mind a bit of graffiti As long as it’s they carry out their ax and places it’s not going to cause you know a mess like that up there But yep too much time in their hands some of the kids Right guys this is where
