Started my ride home from work on Friday, but heard/felt a weird periodic bump, but stopped half a mile away at for a beer as planned. Came to find a solid sidewall tear on my rear RTP, the black stuff trying to escape and all, the sound being my tire's dusky soul trying to claw my chain stay on it's way to freedom.

Luckily, a guest had given me a 2 Dollar Bill origami ring that day for being so sweet to their puppy and I was saved. Borrowed a little duct (🦆) tape from my friendly local beertender and hacked the sidewall well enough to get me the remaining 8 miles home and still hold up until today (unridden, I'm not entirely stupid).

Got a new set of rubber in the mean time. I've got some mixed reviews here for the Volummys, but they feel fine to start and you can tell I'm not much of a weenie for weight. Sad to see the RTPs go though. Solid run. Lotsa tread left in the front. 🤷
