Schwalbe G One RX PRO 700 x 50mm off road rolling resistance test results. 📊

This has been one of THE most requested tires for me to test, and I am probably not the only one who noticed how many high placing bikes in the Unbound 200 Elite field had these installed. 👀

As you can see in the results, this tire came in REAL fast across all surfaces tested. Kinda wild how fast they are, but I can’t say I am surprised after seeing what the Rick 2.25 did recently in my testing.

These measured out to exactly 50 mm on a 25 mm Reserve rim, and I was actually able to inflate them both with a floor pump. Wish I saw that more often!

One big take home here, is that tires can have usable knobs AND be fast. This is one of my favorite gravel tires I have tested so far…they did everything I wanted quite well.

All off road rolling resistance data is my own, obtained by Chung Method (aka Virtual Elevation) testing. ✅

Big thanks to Ed for sending these in after finishing the Unbound 200 on them! Super cool to get test tires in with Kansas dirt still on them.

Additional info on these. I have them in a 700×45 set up tubeless on 25mm inner hookless rims. They measure 45.5 and 45.9 mm with calipers after a few rides. Incase anyone was going to purchase and wondering about sizing.

  2. I got a set of these this year too and they’ve been great so far. Agreed on above points. For reference, I really didn’t like the G One R as I didn’t find them predicable in loose terrain due to the tight knob spacing and overall shape.
