Was in a scrap pile at a bike shop and they were going to throw it away! They gave it to me for free :). I spent around $75 in parts and got it to work pretty decent after a few hours. Its missing one spoke in the back and I need to buy cable cutters, but besides that I think I got everything up to snuff. It drives around a lot nicer than I thought it would. Does anybody have any handlebar tape recommendations? The old tape is falling off and I think I want to get some more.

Fillet brazed! Nice score!
My stepdad has a Schwinn Sports Tourer, also filled brazed and in the same yellow color. He rode it to Panama from Pittsburgh in the 70’s, and he still rides it to this day, although I think everything but the frame, stem, and bars have been changed out over the years. Great bike.
Nice! When I (65) was a kid in the 70s, we all wanted one.
Chicago or Japan?
