  1. Looks that way from the photo, but you really need to look at it on a flat surface.

    If it is bent then you have two options, get an alignment tool and re-set it (or get a bike shop to do it) which will make it perfectly usable again or buy a new one. I always carry a spare in case it breaks on a ride anyway.

    Looks fixable to me. I recently fixed a bent hanger on my bike and it looked worse than this.

    If your shifting is really out of wack and you need your bike, you could try re-mounting it on the bike and bending it back into shape with a wrench if you’re going to buy a new one anyway (and don’t want to buy a specialized tool).
