So I’m cleaning my front chain ring with a toothbrush. Just doing some scrubbing you know. Standard clean/lube after got some wet/yucky conditions on a ride.

I heart this little plunk and set screw falls down on the floor. I’m thinking what the heck where’d that come from and another plunk. Two set screws. I can’t figure out where they came from. I gave up and did my next ride of 70 miles with no issues.

Trek RSL Domane frame.

11 speed Di2 derailleurs.

Dura Ace chain ring/cranks.

I can’t find anywhere that these screws seem to have come from. But they came from something 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️.

Any thoughts?

They look sinilar to those screw you screw into the shimano dual pedals for more grip however you have dura ace and you use spd sl with a very high probability so this i probably wrong.

My 1x checkpoint has these where the front derailleur is supposed to screw in

  3. looks like grub screws, do they have hex shape on the flat side.

definitely not from chain ring or cranks.
