First of all, so epic. So pitted.
In the video my feet are floating off the pedals in the middle of the drop. I think I maybe shifted my weight forward too soon causing my feet to come off the pedals but I'm not sure. Would love any advice/explanation as to the cause and how I can improve. Loving this sport so far.
Thanks in advance!
First drop. Feet coming off of pedals, not sure why.

Nice! Are you using grippy shoes and pedals?
For drops, the consensus I believe is to “push” the bike forwards by driving into the pedals and moving your weight back over the rear wheel/axle.
Proper drop form should help with the feet coming off the pedals. The little hop I think I see you do in the video, unweights the bike. So that’s why you get some floater airtime there.
Also, fun fact, as you get better riding flats you’ll learn to scoop at varying degrees of intensity. As to keep your feet stuck to the pedals.
That’s just my 2¢ though, I’m no Sam Hill or Richie Rude. Have fun and keep shredding!
Heels down bro
I just commented this same thing on another post but it applies to here as well: Looks solid but for bigger drops its not good practice to bounce your bike like that before the drop. Just push your bike through and roll with it. You got it! You will get your ankle broken sooner or later if your feet keep popping of the pedals like that and you land back on the pedal with your heel.
Heels down will help the pins dig in to your shoes and stop your feet coming off the pedals
Yes it’s shifting your weight without keeping cross tension between handlebars and pedals.
It’s not flat pedals problem, it’s purely lack of technique, even without pins in pedals such thing not supposed to happen
Bend your knees, you look pretty stiff.
