One Day in BERGEN, Norway! | European Bike Tour #41

In this vlog I wake up in my Airbnb apartment in Bergen, Norway. A quaint little city on the west coast of Norway. The city is built on 7 hills which makes it’s terrain resembling San Fransisco but then even steeper! Went out to do some bike maintenance but the highlights were definitely visiting the ancient buildings on Bryggen street and taking a walk up one of the 7 hills where I was rewarded by a spectaculair view.

hey guys good afternoon yes it’s late I’ve been being a lazy bum today I’m doing my laundry at the moment I think it’s done that’s for we can do right now I’ve been editing a video but I just I can get through it it’s and I was weird I just keep them being distracted by Wi-Fi here so yeah I’m just watching YouTube videos all the time and eating like chocolate which I found a cheaper brand which is this one chocolate is like maybe 4 bucks per bar this one is just 2 bucks first price kind of like the basic like the quality might not be great but it’s it’s pretty good chocolate so yeah that’s nice but um yeah being mean a lazy bum here but right now we have to mix a city to explore I’m gonna go into the city because we’re on a hill I have to do everything in the city and then come back at like maybe 3 4 o’clock I want to look around first ground at the buildings and there’s some things to see then I have to go to a bike shop to buy new inner tubes because the ones that I have a and maybe also a new outer outer tire for my rear tire because that one is a little I don’t know it has a little thing in there which is not good I can drive with it but I don’t know how long it’s gonna last still and if it’s not crazy expensive here that I might do it like I gave himself 35 bucks next so if it’s more expensive than that I’m not gonna do it just gonna get some inner tires and if it’s cheaper the bet that I’ll take it this place is pretty nice there are more people than there were in yellow like the item I spoke to one person in that whole like two day period and here there are some Lithuanian guys and some other from Morocco somewhere like most people from those areas but that’s that’s fine least I got my own space to dry everything out try let’s ride it oh I’m finally out of the house laundry Luke took a little longer so I actually edited the video finally two forever right now I’m headed through the city center I want to see two spots I looked them up online if there were any free things to do here and there were two or there’s one walk that everybody seems to take and old houses that is a must-see if you’re in the city so I think that’s what we’re going to do first then I have to go to a bike shop get some new inner tubes and then to grocery store to buy some groceries oh the city is so hilly and the roads are sometimes so steep like right now I’m going down and I have to press right where’s my brake because you know it’s pretty steep [Music] so this is the famous Regan Street famous houses it’s kind of bad that I don’t know if you can see that but there are some houses that are being worked on these are cool really reminds me of new house and in Copenhagen kind of looks like that this could the colors and the wood pretty cool [Music] I’m kind of backstage look at this it’s all wood so cool all right so I went to the bike store right here it’s a very tiny little bike store but it’s quite nice got my outer no inner tires two spare ones and some chain lube so they’ll be good out of tires you didn’t have but I mean I already paid like 30 bucks for those three items so I think I’ll save him for when I’m in a cheaper country or back home kind of depends but look at this place actually like I just cycle there it was again up a hill like repair a little ways out of the center and if you can see like the ink Lizer crazy alright I really like the city it’s the second largest in Norway but through and a thousand people live here I think it’s quite nice anyway right now I want to do one more thing our city – I wanted in shopping and – is a walk which it goes to a mountaintop you’re right here somewhere so it’s kind of out of town I first have to climb the hill and climb even further on foot and then there will be a few over the city so that’s what I’m gonna do oh man look at this for ink Eliza’s like 40% something’s crazy I’m walking by the way yes too hard alright I made it to activity number two stole two cliven that’s the name of this yeah path I don’t know exactly how warm it is doesn’t say on the map it’s all in Norwegian but yeah we’re gonna hike to the top and there should be a good view of the city so yeah it’s gonna do so I read online that this is a bet that the local people like to do in the evening kind of like an evening workout cuz pretty steep and as you can see that’s probably true there are 801 steps in it 801 like stair steps and yeah I think they start here it’s gonna be a long one [Music] okay now I understand why this is a work hug look at that Oh what counts is stiff like this is all kind of rumble you get a set of stairs again oh man 801 I hope they’re already like you’re pretty high up Oh keep on keepin on look at the guys I made it wow man what a spectacular view absolutely amazing this is so cool this is fun that was a good walk if you’re afraid of heights then don’t do this and so cool definitely went off the highlights of the trip Wow alright and now we got to go all the way back down which is the scariest part because you’re looking pretty much into the city [Music] that’s gonna bike there was a good hike very good alright so I’m back in the city center it’s kind of like the center square here but this last time I’m gonna be here sadly tomorrow we’re gonna ride out of the city and because I’m on the south side I’m gonna drive south so I won’t see this anymore so yeah goodbye Bergen it’s a great city compact you know like there isn’t much room for a suburb so yeah like the city kind of ends where the mountain starts and it’s pretty much a mountain all around it it’s a very nice compact city and there yeah it’s it’s great really if you’re gonna cycle here make sure you have a good bike because this is like San Francisco on steroids it’s crazy you know some some inclines so anyways making my way back to the our BMV apartments to get some food and clean my bike chain because I still need to do that that’s what I’m gonna do look at that guys I’m really trying to cook something good I got this wok sauce and there’s a little description at the back it’s not that hard so I got some noodles some pork which is crying right now grease and there’s some noodles yeah I’m trying to make something I don’t know it’s gonna work out but I’m just trying to not bad not bad it’s actually pretty good I’m actually kind of proud of myself the pork just went a little bit too far there’s some black parts in there but I mean it’s better than being too raw you know so I think I did a good job my first ball first more complicated mule [Music]
