I‘m almost certain, you didn’t route your chain correctly… it’s supposed to be on the other side of the little metal plate on your derailleur.

Your derailleur is trying to be in a gear higher or lower than you’re actually in. Sounds like your derailleur is out of adjustment. U can adjust it yourself just watch a YouTube video it’s actually pretty simple.
