Recently noticed a clicking sound while pedaling and am struggling to figure out where it’s coming from.

  • If I put the bike on a bike stand and rotate the pedals, no clicking sound can be heard.
  • While stationary or coasting, cycling the fork and rear shock does not appear to cause any clicking sounds.

Bike is a 2021 Cannondale Habit.

Any ideas?

  1. Did you recently change your chain? My bike was doing that and it was wrapped around my derailleur wrong, rubbing against the bottom pulley. Also, have you oiled your chain recently. It looks dusty.

Maybe it’s the pedals themselves? Are the bearings dry? Second though would be bottom bracket

That and adjust the indexing. If it still does that it’s likely your derailleur may be bent, or possibly your der. Hanger. Both can be fixed if that’s the issue as well.
