Surly over Giant any day, and my pick would be 1x Surly. Carbon stinks.

Whichever one can fit the widest tire and fits your body.

I have that same Revolt which appears to be a 2022 and I love it. The seatpost wedge is finicky and can lead to a cracked seat tube if over torqued or installed correctly. I would double check that if you look at the bike since you won’t have the original owner warranty. I’ve personally had no issues with cracking. Can’t comment on the Surly.

Black surly! It’s steel, will last forever and you can run super wide tires on these. A surly frame loses less value over time. (I say this as someone who has a carbon gravel bike)

I have that Giant in the same colorway, great bike. $1250 feels like a steal to me given the $2800 list price new. Definitely check the frame for cracks as it’s a known issue, especially at the seatpost. I got it mainly as a do anything bike, I do some gravel races, commute, and plan to take it bikepacking. Was a good fit for my purposes and would have been even better if I got it for $1250.
