I believe so, just give the crank a small pull. And for future reference you don’t need to completely pull those bolts out and you should actually leave them in, that little plastic locking part does make a big difference.

Theres a small preload ring that gets screwed in, so make sure thats also out

Yep. Plastic tab up, then straight in the bin with that meter.
(Actually the left side tests well. It’s a pity they don’t allow single sided power)
